The Canadian Geographic Challenge is a national student competition
organized nationally by Canadian Geographic Education for students from Grades 4 to 10. There are two levels
of competition. Level 1 for Grades 4 to 6 is at the school level only. Level 2 for Grades
7 to 10 offers students the opportunity to compete at the provincial and national levels.
Can Geo Education is proud to be the only Canadian producer of Giant Floor Maps – 8m x 11m maps that allow students to experience geography like never before. Free of charge, these maps and their corresponding trunk of curriculum-linked activities arrive at school and are picked up three weeks later. “Canadian Geographic magazine is an excellent resource for teachers and students. It provides posters in both official languages, such as the St. Lawrence Seaway map, as well as short geography related news items suitable for current events. In addition, the June issue each year is devoted to environmental issues such as wind energy.”
