Canada’s Coolest School Trip

The winner of this year’s all-expenses-paid Coolest School Trip is Steven Bouley’s Grade 8 class from École Antoine-Roy in Gaspé, Que. Their winning video creatively captured the history and natural beauty of Gaspé’s Forillon National Park. The class will have a chance to explore the West Coast in June when they travel to British Columbia. Watch each school’s video entry and get more information on the contest at contest.myparkspass.ca.

Canadian Geographic magazine is an excellent resource for teachers and students. It provides posters in both official languages, such as the St. Lawrence Seaway map, as well as short geography related news items suitable for current events. In addition, the June issue each year is devoted to environmental issues such as wind energy.”
