Innovation in Geography Teaching award

Teachers who go above and beyond to make the subject of geography relevant and interesting will have their efforts recognized with a new award from Canadian Geographic Education.

The Innovation in Geography Teaching award, which will be presented in November, honours a Canadian teacher (grades K to 12) who has made significant contributions to increasing students’ level of geographic literacy. The winning teacher will receive $1,250, and another $1,250 will go to an organization of their choice that supports geographical education.

Nominations for the new award close on Sept. 15.
